1- Paving the ground of creation of suitable conditions for research activities,

2- Adapting the research programs of the university to ratified policies set by the MSRT and the various councils of the university,

3- Planning  and supervising cooperation of the university with different associations and organizations in order to identify regional and provincial needs as well as relation with other sectors of society,

4- Preparing and compiling  rules and regulations for various research contracts and,

5- Identifying the changes in development of research programs in according with the needs of the country.

Mean while, this Vice-Presidency aims to establish scientifc and industrial relations with foreign instituations, encourage scholars to present research papers, hold scientific seminars and conferences, plan travel programs of faculty members for making use of study opportunities and participating in scientific conference abroad, and to publish books and scientific papers.

Morever, the Research Vice-Presidentical Office supervises:
